Senior Lighting Design Engineer £32-36k Basic Plus Bonus + Benefits Package
Lighting Designer – Responsible for undertaking detailed design work for refurbishments and new stores, using customer’s specifications. You should be familiar with Relux software and able to work on own initiative and without supervision. Working within the Projects Support team, the lighting designer is to provide detailed design and applications support including, where required, installation advice and on-site assistance to our clients customers and their sales team. In addition, the following functions will be included within the day to day duties of the role as follows: - 1. Technical Responsibilities Provide technical and design support to the sales team and direct to customers by providing lighting calculations (using all available lighting design software packages), answering technical queries and drafting quotations for non standard items and prioritising these requests to meet customer expectations. With input from the Lighting Design Engineer, keep up to date with developments within the independent lighting product range, relevant lighting legislation and competitor's products so that accurate information is given to customers. To evaluate customers requirements and, where necessary, feedback to the Lighting Designer any issues or problems that the customer may have with product(s). Liaise with external suppliers for procurement of products for applications use. 2. Sales Support Responsibilities In addition to providing technical and design support, answering the telephones in the sales support department during busy periods and to provide support to customers with applications or technical problems including calculations of payback & energy calculations.
