Project Sales / Key Accounts Manager £42-46k Basic Plus High OTE + Car Choice
Job Overview The role is to use your existing knowledge, contacts and sales skills within the electrical specification market, to obtain significant product sales thereby ensuring the Company achieves its goal of becoming a major force in this market sector. You will form part of the Southern Specification Sales Team calling on customers in London and the Home Counties, reporting to the Southern Sales Manager.
Fundamental Tasks
· To obtain specification sales of Commercial / Industrial / LED products via your existing contacts within Lighting Designers, Architects, Electrical consulting engineers, and/or End Users (including local authorities and universities etc...).
· To identify and secure new business opportunities, through agreed targeted new sales activities.
· To sell the full range of Interior and Exterior products including LED solutions.
· To monitor and progress projects successfully, ensuring monthly sales reports are completed accurately and on-time.
· To initiate lighting solutions at all levels within the decision making process.
· To promote the brand, product portfolio and core competences through region specific marketing activities such as CPD seminars and exhibitions.
· Ensure that company policies are adhered to at all times.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
· Proven and demonstrable track record of selling in the electrical specification market.Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
· Build outstanding professional relationships with customers, working to exceed their expectations
· Exhibit drive, self determination and ability to work under pressure and own initiative
· Take responsibility and accountability for delivering results, by ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency at all times
· Able to work co-operatively with others towards shared objectives, with the ability to build effective working relationships
· Make effective use of time and resources, scheduling work accordingly, monitoring work progress with the ability to adapt plans to deal with obstacles
· Have excellent problem solving and decision making skills, enabling them to find the right solutions to problems and make firm decisions to establish satisfactory outcomes
· Thorough understanding of the electrical specification and construction market, decision making influencers, specification stages and contract types.
Personal Attributes
· The successful person will be driven, enthusiastic, positive and above all else self-motivated.
· Valid clean driving license.
· PC skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
